Stress comes in many different forms; training and racing are the ones we think of first, but work and life stress also impact our athletes. Race day anxiety can result in performances that are well below what we expect from the training our athletes have completed. This webinar will provide an overview of physiological responses to stress, with examples of how stress responses impact skill performance, training, and racing. We’ll look at a variety of scenarios and discuss specific actions we, as coaches, can take to teach our athletes to better cope.
